This poster was created during my first year in the Viscom program. The concept of this project was presented as a friendly competition among my classmates. We were introduced by Jan Kuntz, the director of Stage Coach Players in DeKalb, and in production for "Something Rotten." The task was twofold: comprehending the essence of the play through research and understanding the importance of asking appropriate questions to the client.
This project expanded my creative thinking in numerous ways. It demonstrated that poster design isn't limited to digital creation. I embraced diverse textures, incorporating a photographed eggshell, hand-painted eggs, and a wooden background for added depth. The news that my poster was selected to represent the play was such an honor and validated my hard work.
